HARKER HEIGHTS — The Harker Heights City Council gained a new member Tuesday, after recently elected Shane Hodyniak was sworn into the Place 2 seat.

Harker Heights voters returned one incumbent to his seat on the City Council, but elected a challenger to the other seat that was up for grabs Saturday.

Two seats are up for election on the Harker Heights City Council in the May 4 municipal election, with five candidates on the ballot.
