The Tigers weathered a rain delay that saw the game paused mid-way through the third quarter on Saturday and resumed at noon on Sunday.

Despite outscoring the Terrapins 4–1 in the fourth quarter, the Tigers were unable to make up their deficit, ending the game with a loss and a final score of 15–11.

Gretchen Gilmore and Kristin O'Neill each scored six goals in the upset win for Penn State.
