A confirmed tornado spotted south of World Golf Village in St. Johns County Thursday afternoon caused damage to several houses in at least two subdivisions.

Just before noon on Thursday, a suspected tornado left behind a trail of damage in St. Johns County neighborhoods, including downed trees, snapped street signs and mangled fences.
