Five years ago, I quit DJ'ing. I sold all my records, record players and audio gear to Uptown Records in Shanghai. I stopped my long-time party, The Same As It Ever Was. After 20 years of collecting and playing records in clubs, I never wanted to hear a disco bassline again. For five years, I've listened to silence. Once in a while, I put on an ambient album. My records went off to better homes (I hope).
