Marking a significant milestone in the EV segment, Creatara redefines urban travel by combining safety, customization, and advanced technology, the company said.

The Ministry of Heavy Industries has given a subsidy amounting to INR 5,294 crore to electric vehicle manufacturers on the sale of 1.1 million electric vehicles under phase-II of Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid &) Electric Vehicles in India, Minister of State for Heavy Industries Krishan Pal Gurjar said in a written reply in Rajya Sabha on Monday.

E-2W Subsidy: Among the suggestions made to the government for the revival of the subsidy scheme beyond March 31, 2024, is a small but meaningful subsidy (say INR5000/kwh) pushed directly to customers as Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) on Aadhar/UPI stack. This can be easily claimed by the customer via a single window portal just by uploading the registration number and invoice copy. DBT as a mode of subsidy transfer is already successful for much bigger government schemes.

Ev Adoption: The ratio of EVs to other conventional vehicles was 0.0631 which is a slight increase from the previous years 0.0475.

Ev Subsidy: It is said that the inquiry has been going on for a few months now. It will be of little consequences unless the inquiry goes back to probe officials under whose watch the muck started. The entire set of decision-makers has been changed. Meanwhile, the FAME II scheme has been thoroughly discredited. Any further incentivisation of electric two-wheelers remains uncertain.

Annual SIAM Convention: "India will be a global giant in all sectors of electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030. In 2-wheelers, it will be much earlier," Kamran Rizvi, Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries, said at the 63rd SIAM Convention.
