Two of the four Dublin school board candidates in the contested races on this Novembers ballot met for an election forum aimed at providing a platform for voters to hear directly about their campaign priorities.

With three seats turning over on the Dublin school board, we recommend appointed incumbent William Kuo for the short-term Area 3 seat and former trustee Sameer Hakim for Area 5. We also support newcomer Kristin Speck for Area 2.

Unfortunately the Pleasanton Weeklys candidate forum for Pleasanton Unified School District Board of Trustees, originally scheduled for this Tuesday (Oct. 4), has been canceled due to illness.

LVJUSD Board Contenders

Sameer Hakim, a former Dublin school trustee who currently sits as vice chair of the citys Parks and Community Services Commission, is seeking the Dublin Unified School District Trustee Area 5 seat in the upcoming election.

Current Dublin Unified School District Board President Dan Cherrier is seeking reelection this November, aiming for a second term representing Trustee Area 5 in a contested campaign against a former trustee.
