As we head through the rest of the evening showers and storms will rain themselves out with the loss of afternoon heating.

A front stalled out in the Florida Straits will move north as a warm front on Monday. This will bring in much warmer air for MLK Day.

A cold front has now pushed south of SWFL, but it will continue to affect our weather for the next several days.

While we are dealing with chillier air today, warmer weather is returning for the start of the work week.

We are expecting a cloudier weekend with the chance for a few rounds of rain, as a cold front is heading through SWFL and is forecast to stall out.

Meteorologist Sami Squires joined the ABC7 weather team in December 2021. Sami comes to SW Florida most recently from WBRE/WYOU in Northeastern Pennsylvania, where she previously worked as a weekend weather anchor and digital producer.
