GRAND FORKS – Six business entrepreneurs were honored earlier this month with the first “Grand Awards,” presented by a group representing local business-assistance organizations.

Entrepreneurial sisters build business mixing cookie dough to be eaten raw or baked, to stir childhood memories of making cookies with mom.

The Fargo-Moorhead area saw over 15 businesses permanently close their doors in 2021, from notable pizza joints to long-standing and well-loved shops.

The program, now in its fourth year, is designed to create internships for local businesses that pay their candidates a fair wage, as well as increasing workforce recruitment and retention among the businesses that participate.
