Do you cycle to campus, regardless of the weather? UK Transportation Services will celebrate all-season cyclists during the upcoming Winter Bike to Campus Day.

Interested in riding a bike on campus this fall or learning more about cycling in general? Pedalpalooza, UK Transportation Services’ annual K Week event, provides a perfect opportunity to meet other student cyclists in a fun environment. Plus, participants who complete three on-site bike challenges will be entered into a drawing to win a free Series 7 Apple Watch.

University of Kentucky Bike Week is back, set for Monday, April 18, through Friday, April 22. Cyclists can take part in five days of bike-related activities on and off campus, with a chance to win prizes.

Each year, UK Transportation Services recognizes cyclists who brave the winter weather to cycle year-round during Winter Bike to Campus Day. This year’s event will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 9. Stop by the tent at the Mining and Minerals Research Building Plaza to celebrate any-weather cycling as an effective and efficient mode of transportation.

You may have already noticed that Bird e-scooters on campus have evolved, with the older model being replaced by a new version that’s more robust and heavier on extra features.
