The 1,000 Neighborhood Gatherings initiative in Colorado Springs kicked off Saturday, with Mayor Yemi Mobolade, Gov. Jared Polis and others making stops at three events across the city.

It took a Martinsville Circuit Court jury about 35 minutes to find Rayshaun OShea Junio Gravely, 24, of Martinsville, not guilty of assault and battery, strangulation with injury, malicious wounding, and abduction by force or intimidation in connection with a woman who is also a former Henry County sheriffs deputy.
