Family members of a grandmother and toddler killed at point-blank range by a shooter who walked inside a Publix store in Royal Palm Beach on June 11, 2021 have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the grocery store chain, claiming it failed to keep the victims safe from "dangers of which Publix should have been aware."

Litha and Samuel Varone died June 10, 2021. Their family contends Publix didnt do enough to keep its customers safe from crime.
