The breakfast and lunch spot is getting in on the action in Central Henrico, with the revitalization of Virginia Center Commons underway up the road and Sauer Properties' major development planned in the vicinity.

The retailer is about to open in the Willow Place shopping center, which recently got a Shake Shack and is expected to have a grocery store.

A $45 billion Pennsylvania-based bank, is the latest big name to sign on at the shopping center, which is under redevelopment at the hands of owner Sauer Properties.

37 acres of vacant and underutilized land in Richmond’s core are set to become the site of a large transit-oriented development project.

Sauer Properties now has the approval in hand needed for a mixed-use revamp of the shopping center formerly known as Stein Mart Festival near the intersection of Midlothian Turnpike and Robious Road.

Richmond considers a mixed-use project in Carver and proposed changes to Airbnb-style home rental rules, and a shopping center redevelopment and apartment complex are up for votes in Chesterfield.

Following on the success of the Whole Foods and CarMax-anchored first phase, Sauer Properties is looking to effectively build a new neighborhood from scratch in the next leg of its Sauer Center development in the city. 

The company, backed by the Sauer family and led by President Ashley Peace, has unveiled its master plan for the next phase of the mixed-use project.

Sauer Properties, after losing the namesake retailer at one of its local shopping centers, is turning to residential redevelopment as a means to inject new life into the property.

With the acquisition of a holdout parcel, Sauer Properties now owns 38 contiguous acres in the area bounded by Hermitage Road, Allen Avenue, Broad and Leigh streets.
