A 40-year-old Depew man was sentenced Monday morning for the murder of his ex-wife.

Sayed Nasir, 40, was found guilty of one count of Murder in the Second Degree and one count of Aggravated Criminal Contempt following his five-day trial.

Investigators say on November 20, 2021, Nasir allegedly entered his ex-wife's home on North Creek Drive in Depew and stabbed Nazeefa D. Tahir, 33, several times.

Erie County District Flynn says 38-year-old Sayed Nasir has been arrested for allegedly breaking into his ex-wife's home, stabbing and killing her.
