DENNIS – For Chris Lambton, Scargo Tower is more than a popular attraction for residents and tourists. It s a community fixture.
“Scargo Tower, for me . it is Dennis,” said Lambton, a member of the Dennis Select Board. “That’s the most iconic image of Dennis. You get a great view. If you’re up there on a clear day, you can see from the bay . to the ocean.”
But the view from the 30-foot stone tower, perched on what is considered the highest point on the mid-Cape, has been blocked over the past decade because of a lack of maintenance of shrubs, trees and other plants.

So, Lambton, a professional landscaper who has lived most of his life in Dennis, recently took some action. After getting approval from the town, he worked to clean up an area around the tower with the help of his father and brother, who are also part of the family business, E. Lambton Landscaping.
