Jaden Garay, of Weaverville, was federally indicted Oct. 4 on charges relating to the attempted murder of Teresa Ramsay, a Mars Hill postal worker.

Before anyone stepped foot inside Mars Theatre Brewing Co. on Thursday, thousands of dollars had already been raised for carjacking victim Teresa Ramsay.

Friends of Teresa Ramsay, a U.S. Postal Service worker who was shot and carjacked in Mars Hill, are holding a fundraising event.

According to a GoFundMe page started by the victim Teresa Ramsay's daughter, Scarlet, Ramsay had facial reconstruction surgery to remove her left eye.
