He is a professor there and former chairman of Howard Universitys department of politics science. Dr. Lusane earned his b. A. In communications from Wayne State University and both his masters and ph. D. From Howard University and political science. Hes been a political consultant to the Congressional Black Caucus foundation and a former commissioner for the d. C. Commission on African American affairs. He frequently appears on msnbc and cspan and was invited by the obamas to speak at the white house. Author of many books, including the black history of the white house. Lusane lives and works in the washington, d. C. Area. He is joined in conversation tonight by Phillip Martin Senior Investigative reporter for the gbh news center for investigative reporting. Police in oakland have confirmed 2 people were injured. 2 other people have been detained. Good evening, everybody. High school kron fours dan thorn joining us live from campus aaron oakland tonight with the very latest and you know, yeah, it was still a number of Police Officers out here on scene tonight after what was a terrifying evening for graduating High School Students and also their families. After that shooting. We just learned from were detained and also 2 ple people were injured by gunfire. That shooting began around 7. 45. This evening as that ceremony was going on. We also got an update from Police Telling us that shooting with the people that they are there are other people that they might be after as and some sort fight may have led up to multiple gunshots.
