A senior executive at the heart of a $60bn (£49.3bn) US oil deal has been charged with sexual assault.

Head Exxons shale oil business David Scott, 49, was arrested at a hotel room close to his companys headquarters in Spring, Texas on Thursday after being accused of sexual assault.
