Kayak trip will honor fallen hero: Woodbury native to paddle for trooper Mohl
WOODBURY - Scott Slekis, a 1991 Nonnewaug High School graduate, honors fallen heroes each year by embarking on long-distance kayak trips in their memory.This year, he will paddle his kayak 225 miles from New Jersey to Washington, D.C., in memory of one of Woodbury's own: state police Sgt. Brian Mohl
