The lawsuit alleges that officials at the Norwalk school knew the teacher "had the propensity to" assault female students and left him alone with students anyway.

The mother of a girl who was 11 years old when she was allegedly sexually abused by a teacher in 2019-20 has filed a lawsuit on her daughter's behalf against the Norwalk-La Mirada Unified School District.

Detectives say the alleged abuse happened on campus during school hours.

Authorities Wednesday sought additional potential victims of a 60-year-old school teacher who allegedly sexually abused two girls at a Norwalk middle school.
