Sixty-five years ago, Nawatha Hutson (now Reed) graduated from Ceres High School as one of 159 seniors. Bobby socks and car hops were still American fare, Elvis and Bobby Darin were the music craze and the space race between the U.S. and Russia was heating up.

At their regular meeting Monday, Polson city commissioners were assured that road construction on 17 Ave. from 1st St. E. to 2nd St. W. and on 4th Ave. E., in front of Linderman School, would be finished in time for the first day of school next week. Both are major thoroughfares for students and parents.

When one girl's dreams of decorating cakes at Scottage Cakery were dashed when the owners decided to sell their business, she decided to take over and start her own baking business: 406 Cakes and Cravings.
