Firefighters gather at DC Police station to show support as lieutenant and rookie turn themselves in on simple assault charge

Lt. Sean Sinon and Firefighter Reden Ecleo were charged with assault in June after prosecutors viewed a video of an April brawl.

The assault charges two D.C. firefighters were hit with back in June have been dropped.

D.C. prosecutors dropped assault charges over the weekend against the two firefighters who were accused of hitting a man who instigated a chaotic street brawl.

Two D.C. firefighters were charged with assault Tuesday for the caught-on-camera attack of a man in April that police said started when the man punched a member of the fire crew.
