The last 36 hours. what we discovered was essentially that as part of an effort to ramp up security at the speakers home -- shes the number one recipient of death threats in congress by a far margin. in an effort to amp up security they added live camera feeds outside the back of her home in multiple locations. they dont typically monitor these feeds when she is being protected by a security detail and not at the home. in some respects, this makes people crazy. how could you not look at the came...

National guard, gop, fbi, homeland security, secret service, capitol police, about the situation in the capital? >> im not aware of any of those requests. no, sir. >> we have confirmed the numerous interviews with senior law enforcement and military leaders, vice president pences staff and d.c. government officials, none of them, not one heard from president trump that day. he did not call to issue orders. he did not call to offer assistance. this week, we received this additional testimony from...

I suspect theres still some physical security being provided to them even though theyre in poland. i dont want to get ahead of the state departments decision about their embassy in kyiv if, and/or when and how they might think about reacting. thats something for the state department to speak to. i would tell you that without getting into the hypotheticals here, the marines are very proud of their security responsibilities with respect to embassies and posts around the world and support to our di...

>> martha: i thought it was very significant that alexandria ocasio-cortez went after her. she obviously believes that she has policies they find very disturbing in terms of the way the families are being treated on the border. they have pushed back strongly on that notion in terms of how they are doing their jobs down there, but she then said that she thought the creation of dh im in the early 2000s, which she doesnt mention 9/11, but she said it was an egregious mistake on the part of the bush...

I mean most americans in that pay rate that we pay our agents live paycheck to paycheck. i did when i made that kind of money. i mean, so to expect these people to carry on for extended period of time with no paycheck is beyond the pale. arthel: it really is. and remind us what is that pay range? >> between 15 and 20 dollars an hour, so those that have been there a long time, can be on the $20 side, but the newer people are down around $15 an hour. you know, at many mcdonalds you can make $15 an...

Probably, i would imagine, short if no sentence followed quickly by deportation to russia. this is not just the russians who do this. the canadians are involved in a similar situation right now with the chinese. the north koreans have made a habit of arresting americans and calling them spies for many years. this is just something that autocratic regimes who are able to do this without the rule of law oftentimes do. thats what vladimir putin is up to now. >> whelans family is insistent hes not a...

Advise and assist mission. the white house did not want to do that and they insisted on getting below 10,000 people, and i was in afghanistan earlier in the month, and most of the advising is now done from kabul over a videoconference. well, you cant really see what is happening on the ground when you are doing it over a computer monitor. and so, im afraid that we have, again, cut too fast, too far, and the afghans were not ready to take up the full mantle of their security responsibilities with...

Jamming technology to bring down drones that might be trying to fly into the white house or the capitol. we know they have nothing to counter technology that is more closer to kitty hawk that 21st century drone technology. they dont know what they are going to do about this. they are looking at bringing charges against this man simply because they dont believe they can let it go. >> they have to learn some lessons. this is awkward, but humiliating what happened. >> it is. they need to come up wi...

Service members, the country is safer. that is what we heard him say to the troops on christmas day. you just played a little clip of that. i think hell also make the case afghanistan is certainly better taking over their own security and holding democratic elections. although, he has acknowledged its still a very dangerous place. and the reality, of course, is very complicated. 13 years $1 trillion in u.s. spending. and 2014 has been the deadliest year since the start of the war. civilian casua...
