In the past three weeks, 27 new cases have been confirmed, he said. “We don’t know if that’s an increase because of Thanksgiving gatherings, but we suspect that it may have something to do with it,” Lowe said.

The school board plans to let the Board of Selectmen know the project is ready to be presented to the town. The school board is seeking no more than $400,000 for the playground replacement project $50,000 of which would be a “buffer” in case work needs to be done on the school’s pirate ship playground, said Superintendent-Principal Jeff Melendez.
