Six more victims of a forced sterilization program are suing the central government, claiming that the operations performed under the former Eugenic Protection Law were unconstitutional. 

The plaintiffs in the three cases are demanding that the government pay a total of ¥158.7 million in damages.

Major film companies on May 19 filed a damages suit at the Tokyo District Court against three people who posted unauthorized condensed versions of movies, called “fasuto eiga” (fast movies), on the internet.
