Changes to the concert’s safety plan come following an incident last year in which two police officers were injured in a shooting.

14-year-olds Gamara Mosely and Richard Jones have been charged with murder as adults in the brutal death of 74-year-old James Lambert, who was beaten with a traffic cone.

Two brothers, 10 and 14, handed themselves in after Philadelphia Police released footage of the horrific incident on June 24. James Lambert Jr. (left) was attacked by the gang of seven teenagers.

As investigators continue to probe a shooting at a 4th of July fireworks show in Philadelphia that left two police officers hurt, one of the injured officers said he feels grateful that his injuries weren't far worse than they could have been. 

Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said he was frustrated and emotional when he said he looked forward to not being mayor anymore after two police officers were shot during a Monday fireworks display.

Officer Sergio Diggs and deputy John Foster were injured while providing security at a July Fourth concert on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway when shots were fired.
