Today ASIC and the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) (the regulators) have taken further action to ensure that all necessary steps are taken by ASX to support and maintain current CHESS until its replacement is successfully implemented.

ASIC has imposed three additional conditions on three licenses issued to the ASX Group due to the outage of the stock trading platform in November 2020.

Additional licence conditions have been imposed on three licences held within the ASX Group. The licence conditions are directed at mitigating risks for future upgrades, with specific emphasis on the oversight of the CHESS Replacement Program, due to go live in April 2023.  </span></p>
