Teens shimmy down outside of burning East Village NYCHA tower
Firefighters arrived to find residents pressed against the windows on the fourth floor of the 14-story Jacob Riis Houses around 7 a.m., with 180 firefighters bringing the fire under control after about an hour, said Assistant FDNY Chief Michael Ajello.
