The Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office announced the launch of its Special Needs Program. Beginning March 27, residents can get a sticker at the Sheiff’s Office for their vehicles that will help first responders identify who may be in the car.

The Sheriff's Office says that on March 27, around 8:27 p.m. the Wayne County 911 received a call from the Detention Center reporting that a prisoner, Joseph Payton of Albany, Ky. had escaped.The Sheriff's Office says multiple units from the Wayne County Sheriff Office and Monticello Police Department responded to the Detention Center.
