A search done this summer involving ground-penetrating radar at a former residential school site in Carcross, Yukon, has found 15 "anomalies" that researchers say are potential grave sites.

Work begins this week on the first ground search for unmarked graves at a former Yukon residential school. A gathering was held Monday to mark the occasion in Carcross, at the former site of the Chooutla Indian Residential School.  

A community report on the results is scheduled to be completed by the end of summer
