BOSTON — Vowing to work with families to find alternative therapies, Rep. Danielle Gregoire renewed her decade-long push to ban the use of a controversial electric shock device for people

The protesters are advocating for a bill that would ban use of painful electric shocks for therapy.

An advocacy group plans to be at the Statehouse on Tuesday to push for a ban on the controversial electric skin shock therapy that is used by the Canton-based Judge

The Judge Rotenberg Center in Canton is the only psychiatric facility in the nation that continues to use electric shock therapy on its patients.
