Shorebird Program News Today

In the mid-1980s, piping plovers were listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act. In the decades since, they’ve slowly but steadily recovered in Rhode Island, up to 111 pairs this year.

Panama City is working with Audubon Florida Fish and Wildlife to monitor a threatened species of shorebirds.
