Northern Reach Network and the Road Angels of Thunder Bay came together to create the Ruff Ride - to raise funds to rehome and help northern dogs and cats.

With the migration of birds, and spring in the air, the lighthouse is reopening for another season of connecting the community and visitors to our historic lighthouses on Lake Superior.

The Porphyry Lighthouse programs have been a hit with visitors, including with the previous artist in residence, Mary Espinosa, who shared that "a week was not enough time to explore"
