A request made by Peel Regional Police to shield the identities of the officers involved in the 2020 death of Mississauga father Ejaz Choudry has been rejected by the courts.

The five officers involved in the shooting death of Ejaz Choudry have failed to provide the evidence needed to cast aside open court principles and justify shielding their identities from the public, lawyers representing Choudrys family argued at a Tuesday hearing.
