Simple Energy has announced the launch of the Dot One e-scooter at an introductory price of Rs 99,999 (ex-showroom, Bangalore).The Simple Dot One is available in a single variant and comes in four colours – Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue.

The Dot One, Simple Energy claims, is the fastest scooter in its category, going from 0 to 40 kmph in just 2.77 seconds

Simple Dot One is introduced in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 99,999, and it gets a 151 km claimed range with 0-40 kmph timing of 2.77 seconds.

It appears that the Bengaluru-based start-up is keen on converting existing orders for the One into bookings for the more affordable Dot One.

The scooter will be built on the same platform as the Simple One and will come equipped with a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack. It is certified to offer a range of 151 kilometers, which extends to 160 kilometers in IDC testing.

With not even 50 units of the Simple One electric scooter on the roads, a new, cheaper scooter is being pitched to seemingly keep interest alive.
