The final investment decision of BM-C-33 is an important milestone for the partners and for Equinor.

Equinor has, on behalf of the BM-C-33 license offshore Brazil with partners Repsol, Sinopec Brasil and Petrobras, awarded a contract for subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines (SURF) to TechnipFMC, and a sales and purchase agreement (SPA) for the delivery of a floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit to MODEC Inc.

Petrobras has closed the sale of its stake in the Albacora Leste heavy oil deepwater field in Brazil to Petro Rio Jaguar Petróleo (PetroRio).

Petro Rio has agreed to acquire a 90% stake in the Albacora Leste field, offshore Brazil, for $2.2bn from Petrobras.
