Artist Sir Grayson Perry received 15 different bills ranging between £200 and £6,000 and was told by energy firm EDF that the money would be taken by direct debit for all of them at once yesterday.

The 63-year-old wrote on social media on Monday that EDF had raised his monthly electricity bill from £300 to £39,000.
