Mahindra OJA and electronic SUV Thar. e were launched on India's 77th Independence Day during Mahindra Futurescape held in Cape Town, South Africa. Mahindra unveiled the new tractors on 3 OJA platforms – the Sub Compact, Compact, and Small Utility in Cape Town. With 4WD as standard, Mahindra launched 7 new tractor models for the Indian market on Compact and Small Utility platforms.

The OJA tractors, developed through a collaboration between Mahindra Research Valley in India, Mahindra AFSs R&D center, and Mitsubishi Mahindra Agriculture Machinery in Japan, represent a significant investment of INR 1200 crore. With focus on innovation and advanced technology, the OJA tractors are set to reshape the farming landscape.

The Oja series comprises tractors under four segments, with India getting seven models under two segments.

The platform gets its name from the Sanskrit word ‘Ojas,’ which means energy or vigour.

Mahindra Tractors, part of the Farm Equipment Sector at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M), introduced "OJA" as the new brand name for its new future-ready range of tractors from its most ambitious global tractor program, K2. The name “OJA” is derived from the Sanskrit word “Ojas” which symbolizes Vitality, Energy & Strength.

The Mahindra OJA will have four sub-tractor platforms — the Sub Compact, Compact, Small Utility and Large Utility — tractor categories, covering 40 models across various multiple HP points.
