Smith Waddle News Today

Apr 29, 2021 More mocks than not have projected the Miami Dolphins to take a receiver with the sixth overall selection in the 2021 NFL Draft, but their fans apparently would be OK with Oregon tackle Penei Sewell. At least thats what a Twitter poll reveals if the option of taking either tight end Kyle Pitts or LSU wide receiver JaMarr Chase is off the board by the time the Dolphins get to make their pick. In a choice among Sewell, Alabama wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Jaylen Waddle, or "other...

My draft board with 3 draft scenarios By Robert Burstein on Apr 14, 2021, 8:49pm EDT + Ive never shared my draft board on here so this is a first for me. Mine isnt the traditional big board where I rank my favorite prospects 1-250. Im not a scout, I dont pretend to be one. I dont watch hundreds of hours of game film studying 400+ prospects, I dont interview players or coaches or even have insider information. But I am a football lover. I love both the college & NFL game. I watch a g...

The Cost of Slater - PFN Mock on Tax Day By Purple_Pain on Apr 15, 2021, 1:25pm CDT + We can expect surprises in the NFL draft. It would be fortuitous for the Vikings if any of the elite 12 dropped to #14. Those include 5 QBs, 3 WRs, 1 TE, 1 CB, 1 OL, and 1 LB. Slater is projected at #13 going to the Chargers, but sometimes strange things happen because GMs decide they have better insight than the consensus. In those instances, Parsons, Slater, Smith/Waddle, or another drop to be...

Second round Wide Receivers It is strange that despite having two excellent receivers in Higgins/Boyd, there is still a huge temptation to add WR1 level talent into this group. (I really do like Tee Higgins, but I cant shake the sense that he is a WR1A rather than a true WR1). With the likelihood that well lose AJ, Ross, and perhaps Thomas, we know that filling the group is important. Now there will be good veteran WRs hitting FA, and if we were to add pieces ahead of the draft then the calls f...

Cincinnati Magazine January 14, 2021 Yes, the Bengals stunk once again in 2020. So how do they prevent a repeat performance in 2021? Obviously, the most important element is the health of Joe Burrow’s knee. His recent media appearances have been encouraging, including telling radio personality Colin Cowherd that he’ll be fine come September. Obviously there’s a long way for him to go, but it’s OK to be optimistic on that front.   The recent hiring of old pal Frank Pollack to return as ...
