Car suspect who led them on a high speed chase. The honda accord crashed with another car early this morning in berkeley. Late last night Concord Police asked for help from the chp as the stolen honda went the wrong way on highway 4. At one point the suspect called 911 and told officers he did not want to go back to jail. The chp kept tracking the car as it moved along several highways eventually kitting interstate 80 in exiting interstate 80 in berkeley. He ran multiple traffic breaks in an attempt to stop the driver. During all this, he actually called 911 and made a few statements to our dispatch, and we relayed that he wasnt going back to jail. A search of the surrounding neighborhood turned up nothing. The driver of the other car involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
