The Israeli startup REE Automotive and Toyota subsidiary Hino Motors Co. announced on Tuesday their partnership to develop electric commercial vehicles to transport people and goods.
The companies said the signing of their business agreement shows their shared vision of “providing new value to society through next-generation commercial mobility” that is geared to “improve quality of life on a global scale by lowering carbon emissions, minimizing strain on infrastructure, reducing congestion and allowing companies to better allocate resources.”
The two companies provide vast expertise that will help their partnership: Hino obtains knowledge and technologies as a commercial vehicle manufacturer, and REE has developed innovative and highly competitive proprietary REEcornerTM EV (electric vehicle) technologies.
After a watchdog group confronted Mehdi Hasan, he published a tweet noting “conflicting accounts” surrounding the incident.

The host of MSNBC’s “The Mehdi Hasan Show” tweeted a libelous claim on Saturday about a supposed Israel Defense Forces sniper injuring a Palestinian boy, reported the media watchdog group CAMERA.
Hasan retweeted a post by Palestinian activist Issa Amro that included a nine-second video of a Palestinian boy in a vegetable store in Hebron. The youngster runs off-camera by the end of the clip, while another man in the video ducks for cover. The video does not show violence or a shooter, and it’s unclear from the footage how the Palestinian boy was injured.

Israel will begin receiving vaccinated tourists from abroad through a phased plan that will begin on May 23, the Israeli Tourism Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
Israeli Tourism Ministry Orit Farkash-Hacohen and Health Minister Yuli Edelstein have agreed on a framework for receiving tourists, after a ban lasting more than a year due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
“The agreements were reached following the work of the task force set up by the [two] ministries,” said the statement.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif accused Israel on Monday of being behind the electrical “incident” at the Natanz uranium-enrichment facility the previous day.
