South Africa youth international Dean Solomons has expressed his delight after securing a move back to Europe with Allsvenskan side Varbergs BoIS.
Solomons, 22, spent three years in the Netherlands with Ajax after joining from the now-defunct Ajax Cape Town academy system in 2017.
After one season in the U-19s, Solomons featured in the UEFA Youth League and Eerste Divisie with Jong Ajax but failed to break into the first-team before leaving at the end of last season.
But the towering defender is now looking towards realising his dreams of a successful career abroad after securing a reported three-year deal with the Swedish top-flight side alongside compatriot Ryan Moon.

South African winger Gift Links has been named in the Superliga Team of the Week after another standout display for title-chasing AGF.
Links, 22, is emerging as one of the leading performers in the Danish top-flight this season as they five-time league winners look towards challenging Brondby for the title.
The South Africa U-23 winger has been central to their recent form and netted his fifth goal of the season in their 1-1 draw with fifth-placed Randers on Monday with a deft header.
Not only has Links added goals to his game but his counter-pressing and direct running have earned plaudits after he initially struggled to adapt to the physical demands of the competitive Danish top-flight football.

Varbergs BoIS midfielder Luke Le Roux has been tipped for a huge future in Europe after an impressive debut season in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
Le Roux departed SuperSport United for the Swedish top-flight as a teenager in February last year without having made his league debut for the club.
With just a handful of games in the CAF Confederation and Nedbank Cup competitions, the technically gifted midfielder exceeded expectations by developing into an ever-present figure under manager Joakim Persson as they retained their league status in their first-ever season in the Swedish top-flight.
And the former Atalanta midfielder was full of praise for the contribution to the five-time capped Amajita star who s considered one of the most promising talents in the league.
