A new low pressure area (LPA) is brewing outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) which may enter the country over the weekend, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.

THE low pressure area (LPA) east of Central Luzon has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), and has developed into a tropical depression named Jenny, the weather agency said, Friday.

Tropical Depression Chedeng slightly intensifies as it meanders over the Philippine Sea East of Eastern Visayas, PAGASA said in its 5p.m. advisory on Tuesday.  

Chedeng has intensified into a Tropical Storm and continues to move in the north northwest direction, according to the Tropical Cyclone Bulletin posted late Tuesday evening by PAGASA.
