More than 300 local children will see a new bike under their Christmas tree this year thanks to the annual efforts from community volunteers and the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office.

An effort to provide bicycles for needy kids this Christmas finds itself in need of donations.

A group of Coweta County business owners have purchased more than a dozen dog beds for the K-9s at the sheriff’s office after one of the dogs was shot two weeks ago.
