A new sign of trouble in the job market today. an increase in the number of people signing up for unemployment benefits. the labor department reports the number of americans filing first-time claims for benefits hit 484,000. thats 2,000 more than the previous week. and the highest level in almost six months. it was also much worse than expected between that and a weak outlook from the tech giant cisco. stocks slid for the third straight day. dow off 59. nasdaq down 18. s&p down 5. dramatic momen...
