SpaceX launches 23 more Starlink internet satellites into space-

NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams returned to Kennedy Space Center on Tuesday as their much-delayed flight to the International Space Station aboard Boeing's CST-100 Starliner looks like it may finally happen come Saturday.

SpaceX successfully launched 23 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit on a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida on Tuesday morning.

SpaceX sent up the 40th rocket launch from the Space Coast on Tuesday morning.

The Space Coast set a new launch record in 2023 with 72 orbital missions from either Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The pace of launches could ramp up by the end of 2024 to a near twice-weekly rate.

Liftoff is targeted for 3:20 p.m. from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base. A backup opportunity also is available Wednesday at the same time.

Boeing aims to launch its first astronaut mission with the Starliner capsule in early June after resolving recent issues including a small helium leak in the propulsion system that was discovered.
