"In the next few months, you can look for missile warning and space domain awareness as two mission areas [to be restructured], and then in the future satellite communications, for example, and then orbital warfare," Lt. Gen. Philip Garrant, head of Space Systems Command, told the Mitchell Institute today.

"On Artemis III, we anticipate using at least two of the launch sites: one at KSC and one at Starbase."

NASA and Boeing need more time to make sure a helium leak on its CST-100 Starliner is low enough risk to send humans into space.

A helium leak pushed back a planned launch to May 25. Boeing's program that would shuttle astronauts to and from the International Space Station has been plagued with problems.
