Spain Fires News Today

The spread of a fatal fire in the Grenfell Tower block in London in 2017 that killed an estimated 80 people after an electrical fault was blamed on the use of highly flammable external cladding. Up to 14 people are still missing.

An out-of-control wildfire has spread to the forest areas of Spains Tenerife Island, burning around 1,800 hectares so far. Evacuations are underway as firefighters work to extinguish the blaze.

This heatwave is going to be generally more intense.

Flames have ravaged cities and forests throughout Southern Europe, and while no casualties have been reported, the situation is becoming increasingly untenable with temperatures reaching 46C.
