Telsa will use the 927,00-square-foot building in Orange County, New York as a regional distribution facility for electric vehicle parts.

FRANKFORT — A regional project centered in the Tri-County area has been awarded nearly $2 million in state funding through the Kentucky Product Development Initiative (KPDI).

The Kentucky Product Development Initiative granted Laurel County with $1.5 million for economic development.

The Laurel County Fiscal Court is partnering with the London-Laurel County Economic Development Authority to use just over $1.5 million of those funds.

A local developer will get tax breaks on a new shell building on the northwest side of Fort Wayne after receiving approval Tuesday from City Council members.

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council recently announced that several milestones have been reached with its newest initiative, “Charged and Ready.”

TexAmericas Center officially took possession of the property in September, and officials are now actively marketing the space.
