Spokane Based Eide Bailly News Today

The first phase of the West Bonner County School District's forensic audit is on the agenda for Monday's board meeting. West Bonner officials hired Spokane-based Eide Bailly in July to conduct a forensic audit to address board and community concerns regarding the district’s finances.

On his first day as West Bonner’s interim superintendent, Joe Kren placed a crucifix on the wall, took out the trash, sat at his desk and started fixing problems. And there’s no shortage of problems.

Delays with the district's forensic audit could force the state to withhold this month's support payment estimated to be $1.5 million.
