Spotty Storms News Today

Shower and storm chances are on the rise. The radar will get a workout over the next few days. Stay weather aware, as some storms will be strong/severe.

Dense Fog Advisories are in effect Thursday morning for parts of South Georgia and North Florida. Visibility will be limited to a mile or less at times. Afternoon temperatures rise into the 90s.

Expect another hot weekend with showers and storms becoming spotty for the weekend. The good news is the storms will not be a washout, but the heat may be what ultimately keeps you inside.

After rounds of severe thunderstorms, a quieter start to our Sunday is on the way. A cold front moves into North Carolina bringing a few storms & dry air late.

Air quality levels reached Code Red in the Piedmont Triad Monday. Lower Code Orange pollution levels are expected in North Carolina on Tuesday.

Mostly sunny skies are expected Saturday with warmer highs in the low 80s. A Code Yellow -moderate air quality- is forecast for the weekend in North Carolina.

Enjoying our last dry, cool morning on Thursday with humidity and heat on the way! Temperatures to start out early morning hours will be in the 40s and 50s.
